Born and raised in Woburn, Michael was the youngest child of the late John and Evelyn (St. Hilare) Garvey. He was educated in Woburn and a 1975 graduate of Woburn High School.

For over 40 years, Mike worked for the Department of Conservation and Recreation for the State of Massachusetts, climbing the ranks and eventually becoming the supervising equipment mechanic. He was loved by all his colleagues for his expansive knowledge, fierce work ethic, fairness and kind heart.

Mike’s greatest pleasure was riding his Harley-Davidson. He was the go to person for anything that needed to be fixed. Spending time with his family brought him joy and he cherished the camping trips they would take together. He will be deeply missed.

  3. Daddy,

I’ve posted enough on Facebook to make it known just how much this hurts. You were my rock when I needed you most. My shoulder to cry on. My protector. You always made sure I was ok no matter what life threw at me. Now you’re gone when I feel like I need you the most. I’d do anything to hear your voice one last time or even your tone when I was being an idiot. I miss you Daddy and until we meet again, I love you, but I know you love me more❤
