Elizabeth A. (Johnson) Greekwood – of Reading, formerly of Woburn, January 22nd, at the age of eighty-seven. Beloved wife of the late Joseph H. Greekwood. Devoted mother of Stephen J. Greekwood. Dear sister of Alan Johnson of Stoneham, Philip Johnson of Reading, Paul Johnson, his wife Betty of Woburn and the late Richard, Robert and Charlotte Johnson and Phyllis McCafferty. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Service on Wednesday, January 29th at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 60 Forest Park Road, Woburn, MA at 10 a.m.  Burial to follow in Woodbrook Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home 263 Main St., Woburn, MA. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Elizabeth’s name to the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer 60 Forest Park Rd., Woburn, MA 01801.

Elizabeth A. Greekwood of Reading, formerly of Woburn, died peacefully January 22nd, at the age of eighty-seven. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph H. Greekwood.

Born and raised in Woburn, Elizabeth was a daughter of the late Henry and Mary (McEchern) Johnson.

For many years, she worked as a legal secretary for local law offices.

Elizabeth was a longtime and active member of the Lutheran of the Redeemer Church in Woburn. She went to services as often as they were offered until becoming ill. She made many longtime friends and volunteered for anything and everything they needed help with.

Devoted mother of Stephen J. Greekwood. Dear sister of Alan Johnson of Stoneham, Philip Johnson of Reading, Paul Johnson, his wife Betty of Woburn and the late Richard, Robert and Charlotte Johnson and Phyllis McCafferty. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

    I am so sorry for your loss. I worked for many years in the office at her church. I loved her company and friendship. She was a wonderful person. I will miss her.

  2. Wonderful memories of Aunt Betty in Woburn on Washington St., at 4th of July cookouts in Burlington and Sundays on Auburn St. as a child. So sorry for your loss, Stephen.
