Pauline B. (Jordan) Nelson– of Billerica, January 19th. Devoted mother of Jonathan E. Nelson, his significant other Yve Torrie of Medford and the late Alfred “Peta” C. Nelson Jr. Dear sister of Robert A. Jordan, his wife Ann of North Billerica, Coralie F. Samuels of Florida, Thomas F. Jordan, his wife Sheila of West Bridgewater, Aaron L. Jordan of Wareham; sister of the late Bruce E. Jordan, the late Anthony D. Jordan and his surviving spouse Loretta, the late Lloyd O. Jordan and his surviving spouse Joan. Adored grandmother of Isabelle A. Nelson and Ivy F. Nelson. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews. A Funeral will be held in the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Saturday, February 1st, at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Calling Hours, Friday evening, 4-7. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made in honor of Pauline to a charity of one’s choice.

Pauline B. (Jordan) Nelson – of Billerica, formerly of Woburn, died unexpectedly January 19th at her home.  She was eighty-four years of age.

Born and raised in Woburn, Pauline was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Emma (Fowlkes) Jordan. She was a graduate of Woburn High School and attended the Chandler School, later graduating from Boston University.

For many years, Pauline was a Human Resource executive at the Polaroid Corporation. After her retirement from Polaroid, she worked with the US DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration), and later with the U.S. Customs Service, where she helped to develop many of their computer programs.

Pauline had a larger than life personality and was extremely generous, always helping others in need. She was like a second mother to her many nieces and nephews and was always a proud supporter of her family. 

She was a very active woman throughout her life. She loved to swim, ski, and travel, often with different family members throughout the years. She also was an avid admirer of the fine arts in various countries she visited during her travels.
