Fred F. Sousa – a longtime resident of Woburn, died peacefully January 12th at the Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln. He was the beloved husband of the late Evelyn O. (Fiorelli) Sousa, they were married for 50 wonderful years.

Born in Cambridge, Fred was the son of Portuguese immigrants, Manuel and Augusta Sousa, and brother to nine siblings. He was educated in Cambridge and was a graduate of Cambridge High School.

As a young man, Fred spent 4 years in the Army, and then for most of his adult life, worked in the electronics field, mostly as a technician.

Fred was an avid gardener and lover of fresh vegetables and beautiful flowers. He also enjoyed playing BINGO. He was a gentle, kind, easy going and humble man. He was always accompanied by his beloved Yorkshire terriers, whom all appropriately were named “Corky”. Fred will be deeply missed.
