Betsey (MacDonald) Walker, formerly of Woburn, passed away at The Villages, in Florida, Thursday, January 9th, at the age of 81. Betsey was one of six children born to the late Edward R. and Dorothy M. (Harkins) MacDonald.

Betsey is lovingly survived by her siblings Dorothy C. MacDonald of Hampton, NH, Anne T. Dufault, of FL  and Edward H. MacDonald, his wife of Reading.  Dear sister in law of George Poole.  Sadly she was predeceased by her sisters Patricia Barrone, and Mary Ellen Poole, along with her dear brother in laws Louis Barrone, and Arthur Durfault .  She is also survived by many loving, cousins,  nieces and nephews great and grand.

Betsey is survived by five children, Edward S. Walker of New York, NY, Bryan M. Walker, Beth A. King, Brenda A. Ssaramozzino, Barbara A. Cloonan all of Woburn. She was predeceased by her son Thomas J. Walker.

Betsey (MacDonald) Walker, formerly of Woburn, died at peacefully Thursday, January 9th, at The Villages in Florida at the age of 81.

Born in Woburn, she was one of six children of the late Edward R. and Dorothy M. (Harkins) MacDonald both of Woburn, MA. Betsey grew up on Vernon Street in Woburn and attended Woburn Schools, graduating with the Class of 1954.

Following high school Betsey began her career in banking, which she continued throughout her life. About thirty years ago Betsey, who loved the sunshine, warmth and the beach, decided to move to Pensicola Florida, for a few years and then ultimately to The Villages where she has remained.

All throughout the years the MacDonald’s spent their summers on Boston Street in Hampton Beach! There Betsey really grew a love for the beach, sand and fun! Throughout the years this was always a wonderful place to be with friends and family.

She was a friendly, social and generous women whom loved her friends and family. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Betsey was predeceased by two sisters, Patricia Barrone, wife of the deceased Louis Barrone and Mary Ellen Poole, wife of George R. Poole both of Woburn. She is survived by Dorothy C. MacDonald of Hampton, NH, Anne T. Dufault, wife of the deceased Arthur Durfault of Pensacola, FL and Edward H. MacDonald and his wife Dianne of Reading, MA.

Betsey is survived by five children, Edward S. Walker of New York, NY, Bryan M. Walker, Beth A. King, Brenda A. Ssaramozzino, Barbara A. Cloonan all of Woburn. She was predeceased by her son Thomas J. Walker.

All services are private and took place at the convenience of the family.
