Mary (Bletsis) Barbas  – in St. Petersburg, Florida, December 1st.  Beloved wife of the late James Barbas.  Cherished mother of Nicholas Barbas of FL, and Valarie Pavlidis , her husband Paul of Wilmington.  Dear sister of Jimmy Bletsis of FL and the late Stella Weyandt, Cleopatra Varellan, Georgia Shaddan and Costa Bletsis.  Very special “YiaYia” of  James, his wife Teisha Barbas, Esthel, her husband Chris Brennan, Heidi Keogan,  Nicholas, his wife Andrea Pavlidis, Jamie, her husband Rick Arrajj and “Big Yia Yia” of Riley, Pavlos, Angela.  Also survived by her dear “Bingo Hall Buddies.”  A Funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Monday, December 9th, at 10 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Church, 70 Montvale Ave., Woburn at 11.  Interment will be in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Calling hours in the Funeral Home, Sunday, Dec., 8th 2-6 p.m.  Remembrances may be made in honor of Mary to the Alzheimers Association 225 N. Mary (Bletsis) Barbas – of St. Petersburg, Florida,formally of Woburn, passed away peacefully, December 1st, at her home with her beloved family by her side, at the age of ninety-two. She was the beloved wife of the late James Barbas.

Born in Lowell and educated in Dracut, Mary was the daughter of the late Efstathios and Demitra (Belias) Bletsis. She was a graduate of Dracut High School.

Mary was a selfless and generous women who dedicated her life to raising and caring for her family. They were the lights of her life and she would do anything for them. In 1985, Mary and her husband moved to Florida where they have remained. They loved the weather and all of the friends they made down there, especially her Bingo Hall Buddies! She loved playing BINGO weekly and also enjoyed watching the Game Show Network.

Mary had a deep faith in God and went to church regularly, usually followed by a nice breakfast out. Mary will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

She was the cherished mother of Nicholas Barbas of FL, and Valarie Pavlidis , her husband Paul of Wilmington.
