Jean M. Seminatore, passed away at her home in Margate, Florida on Saturday, November 23rd, 2019.  The beloved daughter of the late Michael and Virginia (Champa) Seminatore, she was eighty seven years of age.

Born in Woburn, Jean was one of eight children born into the Seminatore family. Raised on the “farm” at the end of Wright Street.  Jean attended Woburn Schools and was a graduate of Woburn High, Jean having graduated with the Class of 1950.

Following high school Jean went out into the working world she worked as a secretary for various, businesses. As time went on, Jean opened a little gift shop in Stoneham Center, where she took great pride in all the little gifts she had and the cute presentation of each.  Being a rather friendly person she enjoyed very much meeting and greeting folks at her shop, for over a decade.

Jean later moved to Lynchburg, VA where she remained for a while and then moved to Margarate, Florida where she has remained over the years.

Jean was a very creative and talented woman, who always enjoyed working with her hands. From braided rugs to fine jewelry, her creativity shone.  Flea Markets were a place where Jean could spend hours, looking through all sorts of  interesting things.  While in the kitchen, she was an excellent chef, making sauces, pasta, meatballs and desserts!   Jean was also a woman of religious strength and belief,  which she felt,  got her through each and every day for over eighty years.

A Funeral will be held in the Lynch – Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Wednesday, December 4th at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Winchester. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to calling hours, from 9-10 a.m. prior to her Service.

  1. John and Ruth,
Jean was a dear friend back in the days in Woburn. We had many a good times together. Jean was a very giving person and nothing was good enough for her family and friends. I will and have remembered my old friend from home and hoping that she lived her last days being with people and doing the things she liked best. Giving Back! Rest well my friend. Until we meet again. Your old friend from the Rock!
