Richard D. Tracy- a longtime resident of Woburn, died unexpectedly, Sunday, November 10th at Cape Cod Hospital with his beloved wife, Patricia Rozett, by his side.

Born in Woburn, MA Richard was a son of the late Hubert and Vera ( Hurley) Tracy. He was educated in Woburn and a graduate of Woburn High School. After graduation, Richard served his country proudly as part of the US Army, until being honorably discharged.

For over 35 years, Richard worked as a field engineer for Raytheon. While employed there, he had the privilege to live and work in Saudi Arabia where he remained for eight years.

Richard was a diehard sports fan, but loved none more then the Boston Red Sox. Not only was he a fan and collector of memorabilia, but he also had a uncanny and remarkable knowledge about the team and it’s history.

Richard loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with them and enjoying “long” casual meals. He and his wife Patricia enjoyed traveling to Florida in the winters and spending time at their home on Cape Cod in the summers. He was past Exalted Ruler of the Woburn Elks and also a member of the Dunnellon Moose Lodge in Florida. Richard was a kind and generous man and will be deeply missed.
