Derick D. Canada, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday morning, July 10th in Derry, NH. The beloved son of Dean and Nena (Gonzalez) Canada, he was just twenty nine years of age.

Born in Winchester, Derick was raised and educated in Woburn. While growing up he was very active in T-Ball , football and baseball.   He lived in the Green Street section of the city for a few years and then, along with his family moved to the Hammond Square section , where they have remained for over fifteen years.

Following graduation from High School, Derick secured himself a position at Raytheon, where he remained over the last eleven years.

Derick had a great sense of humor, and thoroughly enjoyed being the jokester of any gathering! Weekends and free time, he enjoyed hanging out with his friends and family! Spring, summer and fall, Derick truly enjoyed fishing, whether it was salt water or fresh lakes, streams, ponds and oceans, if the blues were running or the pond was just stocked he was there to welcome them to shore!

Although Derick’s life was much too short, he had the opportunity to live, to love and to be loved, by his parents, sister, brothers, grandparents and all those who were gifted to have known Derick. He will be missed .

  4. Nena and Dean, thank you for loving one another and with that love, you gave this world your amazing son, Derick. For the 11 years we were friends he always had me laughing. He truly was witty, a quick thinker, and had many hidden talents. He was thoughtful and kind. Helpful to all of his friends. Every goofy thing he did in a room full of friends or strangers, entertained us all and we loved him dearly. Tuesday was hard. Watching everyone hearts break was hard. But most of all, his family. We have his memories. His physical body may be gone. but his soul lives on with us all. This was a great loss. We will never be the same. However, I am soooo happy my life brought me to Derick, and to you Nena. I love you! Please take care of one another Nena, Dean and Jenna.
