Conchetta S. (Gobbi) Leonardis – of Woburn, July 9th at ninety-three years of age. Beloved wife of the late Edmund F. Leonardis. Loving mother of Donna Hawes, her husband John of Melrose, Louise Gardener, her fiancé Jay Busa of Woburn, Susan Greekwood, her husband David, also of Woburn, Judy Venezia, her husband William of CT, Joanne LeFort, her husband Rod of Nashua, NH and Edmund Leonardis of Woburn. Cherished grandmother of 32, great-grandmother of 15 and great – great grandmother of one. Dear sister of Julia MaMahon Gobbi of Westwood, Anna Gobbi of Dedham, Lucy Murphy of Brockton and the late Frank and Mickey Gobbi. Loving sister-in-law of Margi Richardson of Woburn. Longtime companion of Carmen Restivo of Medford. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.  A Funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Monday July 15th at 11:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony Church 851 Main Street, North Woburn at Noon.  Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Winchester.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Calling Hours Monday morning 9:30-11:30 prior to the Funeral.

 

Conchetta S. (Gobbi) Leonardis – a longtime resident of Woburn, died peacefully, July 9th at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington with her family by her side. The beloved wife of the late Edmund F. Leonardis, she was ninety-three years of age

Born and raised in Dedham, Conchetta was a daughter of the late Julio and Antonette Gobbi. After graduating High School, Conchetta continued her education at Emerson Nursing School where she received her degree to become a Registered Nurse.

As a Registered Nurse, Conchetta was a dedicated and caring to her patients and worked at the Choate Hospital in Woburn. Her greatest achievement in life however, was her family and children whom she devoted her life to.

Conchetta was an exceptional cook and talented seamstress. She blessed all five of her daughters by making each of their wedding gowns, along with gowns for their entire bridal party. She was also extremely creative and enjoyed painting and tending to her flower garden, even winning and award for the best Garden in Woburn one year.

When Conchetta was not home with her family, she could be found traveling the world having visited some of the most beautiful places. Her smile and presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
