Dorothy M. (Traisi) Mallahan – of Dracut, formerly of Woburn, peacefully, June 16th. Beloved wife of the late Francis J. Mallahan. Devoted mother of Deborah Belcastro, her husband Jay of Dracut, Patricia Lynch, her husband Jim of Caledonia, MI, Sr. Mary Theresa Mallahan, of Andover, Daniel Mallahan, his wife Robin of Dracut, the late Nancy Mondi, her husband, Tony Mondi of Wilmington and the late Frank Mallahan. Cherished grandmother of Melissa, Andrew, Traci, John, Emily, Patrick, Daniel, Mary, Sarah, Matthew, Adam and David and great-grandmother of Joseph, Anthony and Rose Nancy. Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass in St. Barbara’s Church, 138 Cambridge Road, Woburn, on TUESDAY, June 18th at 10 a.m. Calling hours are private. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Donations may be made in her memory to the Poor Clare Nuns at the Monastery of St. Clare, 445 River Road, Andover, MA 01810-4213.

Dorothy M. (Traisi) Mallahan – of Dracut, formerly of Woburn, died peacefully, Sunday, June 16th at the Monastery of St. Clare in Andover, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis J. Mallahan, whom she married on July 14, 1946.

Born in Charlestown, Dorothy was the only daughter of the late Charles and Catherine (Horahan) Traisi. She was raised and educated in Charlestown and a graduate of Charlestown High School.

Dorothy’s life was dedicated to her family and her faith. She was a longtime communicant of St. Barbara’s Church in Woburn and gave the gift of faith and morals to her family. Her greatest enjoyment in life was her family and to her they always came first.

Dorothy is survived and will be deeply missed by her children, Deborah Belcastro, her husband Jay of Dracut, Patricia Lynch, her husband Jim of Caledonia, MI, Sr. Mary Theresa Mallahan, of Andover, Daniel Mallahan, his wife Robin of Dracut, the late Nancy Mondi, her husband, Tony Mondi of Wilmington and the late Frank Mallahan.     I have fond memories of your mom from the times I hung out at your house with Frank. She was a great lady. So very sorry for your loss.
