Margaret B. (LaSpina) Aspesi – in New Hampshire, formerly of Vermont and Woburn, died peacefully, Thursday, May 2nd at ninety-six years of age. She was the beloved wife of 68 years to the late Angelo “Peter” Aspesi.

Born in Malden, Margaret was a daughter of the late William and Rosalie (Scarletta) LaSpina of Italy. She was educated in Malden and attended the High School of the Practical Arts in Boston, MA.  It was during her time in High School that Margaret’s creativity blossomed as she made many hats and also became a talented seamstress.

In 1955, Margaret moved with her husband Peter to Woburn, where they raised their family. She loved the City and was actively involved in politics and bettering Woburn.

Margaret’s creative spirit got brighter throughout the years. She enjoyed making curtains, clothes and braided rugs and taught sewing for continuing education for many years, where she had a great time with her students. She had a wonderful eye for detail and loved to decorate! When she wasn’t crafting, she enjoyed attending the Ballet and Opera.

Margaret’s greatest joy came from her family. She loved children, of all ages, and also enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She was an exceptionally generous, talented, patient and loving women who will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
