Thomas H. “Tom” Roche,  of the East side of Woburn, passed away after a very brief illness, Wednesday, March 27th, at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington.   The beloved husband of Beverly A. Roche, he was just sixty-six years of age.

Tom was born in Somerville, the son of John Roche, of Stoneham and the late Lucille (Gaudet) Roche.  Raised in Somerville, Tom was a graduate of St. Clement’s High School, Class of 1971.

After marrying the love of his life Bev, in the mid-eighties on Valentine’s Day, Tom and Bev moved to Medford where they brought two wonderful children, a daughter and a son into the world, to whom he was completely devoted to. They have lived in Woburn for the past 18 years.

For over 35 years, Tom worked as a Financial Analyst for ABT associates in Cambridge.

Tom thoroughly enjoyed life to the fullest.  He shared a genuine love for his family, faith and friends making an incredible impact on all those around him. Tom enjoyed vacations with his family to places such as the Caribbean and Germany, as well as traveling locally to various camping spots. He especially enjoyed family vacations many summers to Lake Ossippee with annual outings to Storyland and other children’s venues, that he continued with his grandchildren, having a ball.

A kindhearted, gentle, generous and laid-back man,  with a wonderful smile, Tom always ready to lend a helping hand. He would always remind his family “not to worry about things you can’t control”.  A kind word or gentle tap, Tom was always positive; assuring his family and friends that you can’t worry about what you have no control over.  He loved telling neat little stories to his children and grandchildren, about them, that would tease the heck out of them!

Tom approached each new day in a most positive manner.  Although he has left this world too soon, the impact on his family and friends will certainly be a treasure they will all hold very close to their hearts, forever.

Sadly, Tom was predeceased by his Mother, Lucille, brother John and nephew Brad.

Tom was the loving husband of thirty-two years of Bev (Gibson) Roche. Cherished son of John J. Roche of Stoneham and the late Lucille (Gaudet) Roche. Devoted father of Alyson L. “Aly” Roche, her partner Douglas “Doug” W. Olander of Woburn and Timothy G. “Tim” Roche, his wife Angelica of AL. Adored Papa of Abbey, Bradford and Timothy, Jr. Dear brother of the late John J. “Jack” Roche.

A Funeral will be held from the Lynch – Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main St., Woburn on Monday, April 1st at 9 a.m. with his Funeral Mass to follow at 10 a.m. in St. Charles Church, 280 Main St., Woburn. We offer our heartfelt condolences to you Bev, Tim, Aly, John and to all the Roche family at this time of such sadness, grief and sorrow. We are so very sorry that we are unable to be with you in person to help bring you some small comfort. Tom, as well as all of you, ever so generously, made us feel part of your family. We have so many wonderful memories like the Saco canoe trips, the Larry Bird years at The Garden, the famous Roche Christmas parties and so many BBQs with Tom, the grill master, cooking simultaneously over multiple grills. We know that Tom lived a life of devotion to all his loving family as well to all those who were fortunate to be touched by him. We will continue to pray for you and for Tom’s safe passage to his well deserved place in heaven.

    ~ Anne and Willie
