Nicholas Christopher “Nick” McCaffrey, passed away suddenly, Wednesday, September 12th, at the Lahey Clinic at thirty-four years of age. He was the beloved husband of Jessica (Elia) McCaffrey.

Born in Cambridge Nick was the son of Maura McCaffrey and her husband Loyd Lewis. Raised and educated in Cambridge, Nick was a graduate of Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School. Following high school, Nick continued his education at New England Hair Academy.

While attending the Academy he met Jess, and from there a relationship developed and they married seven years ago, making their home in the Central Square section of the city.

Nick was devoted unconditionally to his three children. He loved spending time with them, going to the beach, having mini vacations, and most recently went on a Disney Cruise with the entire family, where an exceptional time was had by all.

Nick’s dream came true when he opened his own Barber Shop just a few years ago in North Woburn. He had worked tirelessly and took great pride in all that he did for children and adults.

A truly kind, generous and loyal man, Nick had a host of friends with whom he shared time with, watching many of the different sports in New England.
Nick’s greatest love of all though, was that of his family. His wife and children were his world, and for the time they had together, it was unconditionally his greatest gift in life.

Loving husband of Jessica and devoted father of Keaton, Gabriella, and Gino McCaffrey, all of Woburn. Loving son of Maura McCaffrey Lewis, and her husband Loyd. Dear son in law of Joseph Elia and the late Jeanne (Palage) Elia. Step-brother of Kayla and Brendan Lewis. Also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

  2. My deepest condolences to the family. Nick was a great person and business owner. This is a hard loss.

  3. I work down the hall from Mr. McCaffrey’s. Nick would cut my hair (always did a great job!) and I’d bring my two sons in to work with me when they needed hair cuts, and he’d only charge them their age. I always looked forward to chatting with him and seeing what movie he had playing on the big screen. He will be missed.

  4. I’m heartbroken for this lovely family’s sudden loss. Nick was a strong, dynamic and dedicated family man. My deepest sympathy and prayers are with you all.
