Greta C. (Pedersen) Olson, formerly of Burlington, died peacefully, Thursday, July 5th, at Lowell General Hospital. The beloved wife of the late Melvin “Ollie” Olson, she was eighty two years of age.

Born in Woburn, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Helen (Petersen) Pedersen. Raised in Burlington, Greta was a graduate of Burlington High School. In 1954, Greta met the love of her life, Ollie, through her brother-in-law at the Jenny gas station, which her husband later purchased. They married and brought five loving and dedicated children into the world. They made their home in Woburn for several years and then nestled into Burlington in 1960. It was there that all the children were raised and educated. The Olsons enjoyed their summers at their cottage in Hillsborough, New Hampshire. They enjoyed every summer boating on Franklin Pierce Lake, waterskiing, soaking up the sun and enjoying time with each other, and their family.

In later years, Greta and Ollie loved to travel down to Foxwoods and every year they would jet off to a different island, their favorite being Aruba, to bask in the sun and enjoy their surroundings.

Greta was a dedicated, devoted, loving, caring and generous woman who always made sure her family was first and well fed! She was an excellent cook and was famous for her harvest cake, chicken wings and baked macaroni and cheese! She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Greta is survived and will be deeply missed by her children, Cheryl A. Pietragallo, her husband Anthony, Richard E. Olson all of Burlington, Susan J. Olson, her fiancé John F. Warren, Cindy L.
