 Janet G. (Barnard) MacDonald of Danvers, formerly of Winchester, Friday, June 29th. Beloved wife of the late A. William MacDonald. Loving mother of William A. MacDonald and his wife Lynne of Braintree, James D. MacDonald and his wife Kathy of Tyngsboro, Carey L. MacDonald of Danvers, and Gary E. MacDonald and his partner Mark Cunningham of Haverhill. Dear sister of Joyce McDonald and her husband Paul of Woburn, Jayne Giangrande of Woburn, Jill Posner and her husband Ron of FL, and the late Judy Fucarile and Joan Dresser. Cherished “Nana” of Ronald Camara, Daniel MacDonald, Merry MacDonald, and Allison MacDonald. Janet is also survived by her brother-in-law William Fucarile, his daughter Lisa, and sister-in-law Mary Connelly as well as many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held in the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, Thursday, July 5th at 12 noon. Janet G. (Barnard) MacDonald, of Danvers, formerly of Winchester, died peacefully, Friday, June 29th at Care One in Peabody surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of 49 years to the late A. William MacDonald. Born in Winchester, Janet was a daughter of the late Alfred and Dorothy (Nowell) MacDonald.

For many years, Janet worked as a dental assistant, working for Dr. Sowa in Somerville and Dr. Senna in Winchester, until retiring in the mid-90’s after the closing of Dr. Senna’s office. Janet was a diehard Red Sox fan and even had the privilege of attending a World Series game in 2007. She was also an avid reader and especially enjoyed crime and mystery novels.  Janet’s greatest joy came from her family, and she enjoyed nothing more than spending time with them. They took cruises and enjoyed spending summers at Hampton Beach. Janet was also an avid animal lover and loved her cats, Cybex, Ethan and Bandage.
