In Woburn, on May 26th. Beloved husband of 56 years to Janice R. (Kaminsky) Sylvia. Loving father of James K. Sylvia of Ohio and Ken Sylvia, his wife Stacey of Woburn. Cherished grandfather of James Sylvia, his wife Ciara of FL and Hailey and Hannah Sylvia; great-grandfather of Lucrecia. Dear brother of Roy Sylvia of Boston and the late Patricia Deakle and William Sylvia. Full Military Honors, followed by burial will take place Monday, June 4th at 1:30p.m. at Bourne National Veteran Cemetery, Bourne, MA. Arrangements are under the direction of the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, MA 01801.

James W. Sylvia Jr., died peacefully, Saturday, May 26th at his home in Woburn. He was the beloved husband of 56 years to Janice R. (Kaminsky) Sylvia. 
 
Born in Middleborough, James was a son of the late James and Margaret (Haskell) Sylvia. He was raised on the Cape and a graduate of Bourne High School. After High School, Jim served his country proudly as part of the US Air Force until being honorably discharged in 1960.
 
For over 40 years, Jim worked as a machinist for Gen Rad, later becoming Teradyne. He was dedicated to his work and enjoyed the friends and many memories he made during his time there.
 
Jim was an outdoor enthusiast who loved fishing, hunting and working out in his yard. He was also a proud member of the NRA. Jim looked forward to taking trips back to the cape and spending time with his family.
 
Survived by his wife Janice, James was also the loving father of James K. Sylvia of Ohio and Ken Sylvia, his wife Stacey of Woburn. Cherished grandfather of James Sylvia, his wife Ciara of FL and Hailey and Hannah Sylvia; great-grandfather of Lucretia. Dear brother of Roy Sylvia of Boston and the late Patricia Deakle and Robert Sylvia.   
 
Full Military Honors, followed by burial will take place Monday, June 4th at 1:30p.m. at Bourne National Veteran Cemetery, Bourne, MA. Arrangements are under the direction of the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, MA 01801.
