She was the beloved wife of Robert Goodhue, who passed away in 1974. “Liz” as she was affectionately known from her teenage years, was born in Woburn,  the daughter of the late Patrick and Margaret (McDevitt) McElhinney. When her children were young she was involved with the CCD classes at St. Barbara’s Parish in Woburn and taught lessons in her home weekly.

Years ago she was an avid Bingo player and loved reading, she also enjoyed knitting, walking and playing her piano.

Liz spent much of her time with her two grandchildren who live in this area, and also looked forward to seeing her other three grandchildren when they came out to Woburn to visit.

She is survived by her three children: devoted mother of Beth Goodhue, Carol Goodhue, and Robert (Susan) Goodhue.  Loving grandmother of Brianna (Alex) Barrera, Brian Palumbo (Rachael Tracy), Joseph, Sean and Kevin Goodhue.
