OBITUARY

Carl V. Fiorello passed away at his home Tuesday evening February 13th, 2018. The beloved husband of Eleanor Fiorello, he was eighty-nine years of age.

Born in Somerville he was one of four children born to the late James and Pina (Sulich) Fiorello.

Raised and educated there Carl was a graduate of Boston Technical High School where he became involved in the garment industry. The Korean War was on going and Carl enlisted in the United States Army where he served his country proudly. From that time on Carl was not just a proud verteran, but a proud American, supporting all things American.

In 1954 he married a lovely woman, Eleanor, whom he has been devoted to for sixty three years! They met at a dance in Boston at the hotel in at North Station and that truly was the very beginning of their wonderful life together. They brought two daughters into the world, and they were the best! They built a pool in the back yard and there were many, many fun family gatherings. Swimming, playing volleyball, having barbeques, this is where it all happened. Cruises to the different islands, countries and states were enjoyed together as a family and also Carl and Eleanor would plan out adventurous trips for themselves. He really enjoyed golfing and did quite a bit in Lexington and Woburn but when he went to Florida, every day!

Upon his return home he continued on in the garment industry in Boston for over thirty years, at which time he sought out the purchase of John’s Dry Cleaners and Tuxedo’s in Maynard. After a very successful career, Carl retired from the Cleaners and he and Eleanor would the travel to Boca Raton, where they spent close to twenty two years. Carl was very involved in the Condo Association where they lived and had served on the board all the time there, having become President of the board. Like everything Carl ever tended to do, he did it and did it very well.

Papa to his fabulous grandchildren, enjoyed every moment spent with them over the years. He would help them to do things and as they grew, he explained to them how to do something, and do it well.

A very kind, thoughtful and caring man Carl could and did a lot for all those whom he loved and often times for those who just needed it. He lived a full life, living every moment to the fullest, surrounded by family.

Sadly, Carl was predeceased by his parents and brothers George and Edward Fiorello.
