CAROL A. (LINDMARK) BARBAS- of Woburn, November 4th at 71 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Thomas G. Barbas. Devoted mother of Thomas Barbas, and wife Jan and Catherine Severance, and husband Chad, all of Woburn. Loving grandmother of Emma, Jake, William and Jack. Dear sister of Janet Bouvier, and husband Ronald of Billerica, Kevin Lindmark, and wife Anne of Winchester and Richard Lindmark, and wife Carolyn of Billerica. Loving sister-in-law of Susan Lindmark of Littleton and Ann Lindmark of Billerica. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Carol was pre-deceased by her parents, Gladys (MacDonald) and Harry Lindmark Jr., as well as her brothers, Harry and Robert. A Funeral will be held, from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, Thursday, November 9th at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn at 10. OBITUARY:

Carol A. (Lindmark) Barbas, 71, long-time resident of Woburn died peacefully November 4th at Winchester Hospital after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas G. Barbas with whom she would have shared 47 years of marriage this month.

Born in Medford, Carol was the first child of the late Gladys (MacDonald) and Harry Lindmark, Jr. She was educated in Winchester and a graduate of Winchester High School. Upon graduation, she attended Burdette School of Business.

She had a lengthy career in Accounts Payable at Alpha Industries but her proudest and most rewarding “job” was being a mother and caring for her family. Carol was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who cherished her time with her family. In her earlier years, she enjoyed knitting and camping with her family in Sebago Lake, ME. More recently, she took great pleasure in watching her grandchildren grow and being involved in their activities and achievements. Carol loved doing art work with them and hearing how their school days were going. Grandchildren brought her so much joy.

Carol is survived and will be deeply missed by her two children, Thomas Barbas and his wife, Jan and Catherine Severance and her husband, Chad, all of Woburn. She leaves behind her treasured grandchildren, Emma, Jake, William and Jack. Carol will be sorely missed by her siblings, Janet Bouvier and her husband, Ronald of Billerica, Kevin Lindmark and his wife, Anne of Winchester, Richard Lindmark and his wife, Carolyn of Billerica; her sisters-in-law, Susan Lindmark of Littleton and Ann Lindmark of Billerica. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Harry and Robert Lindmark.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, November 8th from 4-8 p.m. at the Lynch – Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn. A Funeral will be held from the funeral home on Thursday, November 9th at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn at 10. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.

As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made in Carol’s name to the American Heart Association.
