OBITUARY:

Carole R. (Lynch) Paige passed away at the Lahey Clinic early Tuesday morning, June 13th, after being stricken at her home several days ago. The beloved mother of Robert “Robbie” Paige and Laurie Brennick, she was seventy four years of age.

Born in Woburn, Carole was the daughter of the late Gerard and Teresa (Ross) Lynch. Having been a Woburnite all her life, Carole grew up in the high school section of the city where she remained all her life.

Carole was a graduate of St Charles High School along with the Class of 1961. Following high school Carole began working at Cail’s Restaurant on the corner of Main and Salem Street as a waitress, a position she thoroughly enjoyed and was very good at! Carole enjoyed seeing old friends and meeting new ones and at what a better place than at a busy restaurant!

Carole worked there until she began her family at which time she remained home, dedicated to raising her children. Once the children were in school she began working part time in the evening at the CASE Program; this was set up through the Commonwealth, having an office in downtown Woburn.

Every year for vacation they would travel to Hyannis, where they remained for two weeks, spending lots of “fun in the sun” times with family and friends.

When Carole returned to work full time it was with the Woburn Municipal Federal Credit Union, located right here in Woburn. Carole over the last thirty some odd years, made steady and consistent growth in her positions there. Having a very familial atmosphere at the Credit Union , Carole was always one of those smiling faces that would greet each person ,with a smile and share in conversation with each. Of late, Carole had been entertaining thoughts of retirement.

Carol’s son, daughter, and son in law, were her world. When her grandchildren arrived, well, it was all the more love to share! Having been fortunate enough to have her grandchildren living right next door to her, it was an every day experience being “Meme,” to two very beautiful granddaughters, who brought her oh so much joy.

Carole’s life was full! A faith filled woman, she was quietly, a very kind and generous woman who helped many. Her friendships were strong and very dear to her. All in all, Carole touched many lives, all in a very kind, loving and endearing way.

Sadly Carole was predeceased by her Dad, Mom and sister Martha.

Carole is lovingly survived by her beloved children and son in law, Robert “Robbie” Paige and Loretta “Laurie” Brennick, her husband J.R. all of Woburn, adoring “Meme” of Cheyenne P. and Taylor N. Rose of Woburn. Also survived by many loving cousins and dear friends. A Funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Thursday, June 15th at Noon. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Winchester. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to calling hours at the Funeral Home 9-11:45 a.m. prior to the service at Noon. Remembrances may be made in Carole’s honor to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
