OBITUARY:

Brian F. ‘Mario’ O’Connor, passed away suddenly at his home Monday, March 20th. The beloved son of Frederick “Fred”and Denise (Gillis) O’Connor, he was twenty nine years of age.

Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, Brian was one of two children. Having moved to Woburn at an early age, he was raised and educated here graduating from Woburn High School along with the Class of 2006. While growing up “Mario” was very active in the Pop Warner Football League, always enjoying all the other sports as well. When skate boarding arrived Brian was totally enthrolled and really enjoyed having “boards” under his feet including longboarding and snowboarding.

Throughout his growing up years, spending time with family was always special. “Mario” enjoyed being with everyone for the holidays, birthdays and family gatherings. One very special pet member of the family, Dalyla, the family dog, had a very special place in Mario’s heart.

For the past two years, Brian had been working in a logistics position for IST Management Services in the Boston area.

Mario without question, had a wonderful passion for music. All different genres and instruments Mario was an avid listener. In addition to his love for music, he also enjoyed his comedy shows, video games (so be the nickname “Mario”), playing cards and eating his grilled cheese sandwiches!

Mario will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and his ability to make people laugh: but Mario’s inate ability to make those whom he loved always feel so special, so close and oh so dear, so naturally , will remain forever in their hearts.

Sadly, Mario is predeceased by his grandparents Frederick P. O’Connor, Rosalie and Francis Gillis.

Brian is lovingly survived by his parents Fred and Denise (Gillis) O’Connor of Woburn. Cherished brother of Casey Rose O’Connor and her boyfriend Jon Stack of Woburn. Dear grandson of Jean O’Connor of Woburn, and the late Frederick P. O’Connor, Rosalie and Francis Gillis. Also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A Funeral Service will be held in the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Friday, March 24th at 1:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to call Thursday evening, March 23rd, 5-8 p.m, or Friday Noon-12:45 p.m prior to the Service.
