ANGELINE (CRISTALDI) “ANN” WOOD – of Woburn, peacefully, February 24th surrounded by her loving family, listening to her favorite music. Ann was 91 years old. Beloved wife of 52 years to the late Fernando James Wood. Loving mother of John Woods, his wife Eileen of Cambridge, James Wood, his wife Jean of North Port, FL and the late Robert Wood, his wife Joanne of Tewksbury. Dear sister of Pam, her husband the late Joseph DeLucia of Tewksbury, the late James Cristaldi, his wife Ann of Woburn, Jerome Cristaldi, his wife Eugenia of Lynnfield. Cherished grandmother of Jamie Wood, his wife Lynn, Beth-Ann Price,her husband Scott, Michelle O’Hare, her husband Joseph, Jennifer Blair, her husband David, Jesse Woods, his wife Danielle, Robert Wood, his wife Jenny, and adored great grandmother to Lauren, Tara, Ty and Adeline Wood, Kate and Jack Price, Caden Woods, Joey O’Hare, Brooke and Caitlyn Blair, Jacob and Isabella Wood. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. A Funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Thursday, March 2nd at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, at 10 a.m.. Relatives and friends are invited to call Wednesday evening, March 1st from 3-7 p.m.. Remembrances may be made in “Ann’s” honor to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142,Memphis, TN 38148-0142.

OBITUARY:

Angeline (Cristaldi) “Ann” Wood, life long resident of Woburn, passed away at Lahey Medical Center surrounded by her loving family and listening to her favorite music. She was the beloved daughter of the late Adeline (Zorzanello) and John Cristaldi. Born in Woburn, Ann attended Woburn schools all her life. Ann loved her community. She showed her appreciation by volunteering as a “Den Mother” for the Cub Scouts, as well as being active at the South End Italian Club, to which her father was a founding member. When Ann and Fernando started their family, they were bless with three boys with which they would share many adventures, including camping on lakes up in NH, and trips to the Cape, which she thoroughly enjoyed.

Ann will always be remembered as a kind, strong, generous, selfless, loving person. Ann and her husband had a very special bond; they were each other’s world. Together there was nothing they could not overcome. In later years Ann would take on the roll of care giver for her beloved husband, who sadly passed away. In addition to her husband and her parents, Ann is predeceased by her son, Robert Wood, her brother, James Cristaldi and her brother-in-law Joseph DeLucia.

Ann is lovingly survived by her sons, John Woods, his wife Eileen of Cambridge, James Wood, his wife Jean of North Port,FL; her daughter-in-law, Joanne Wood of Tewksbury; her siblings, Pam DeLucia of Tewksbury, Jerome Cristaldi, his wife Eugenia of Lynnfield; her sister-in-law, Ann Cristaldi of Woburn; her grandchildren, Jamie Wood, his wife Lynn, Beth-Ann Price, her husband Scott, Michelle O’Hare, her husband Joseph, Jennifer Blair, her husband David, Jesse Woods, his wife Danielle, Robert Wood, his wife Jenny, and great-grandmother to Lauren, Tara, Ty and Adeline Wood, Kate and Jack Price, Caden Woods, Joey O’Hare, Brooke and Caitlyn Blair, Jacob and Isabella Wood.   1. I have enjoyed getting to know Angeline at her son’s home in South Yarmouth and at numerous family gatherings. My sympathy,comfort, and friendship is sent to all in dealing with this loss.
