OBITUARY:

Francis E. “Frank” Nett passed away at Woburn Nursing Center, Wednesday, October 12th at the age of eighty three. Frank was the beloved husband of Adeline C. (LaDelfe) Nett, for over fifty four years.

Born in Woburn, he was one of seven children born to the late Joseph and Francis (Coccoluto) Nett. Raised in the Hammond Square section of the city, Frank was educated in Woburn. Frank was a graduate of Woburn High School along with the Class of 1950. Still in pursuit of education, Frank continued on to Northeastern University, where in 1954 he was the proud recipient of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Administration.

Frank, Joe and their older brother Tony were owner operators of the “Donut Kitchen.” A Woburn landmark for forty years, located in the neighborhood where they grew up, Hammond Square. They were known for their very hard work, and dedication in making the finest cakes, cookies, breakfasts, lunches, donuts and many more sumptuous treats from 1960 to 1999. Their fine establishment fed everyone from the Mayor to the children in the neighborhood and everyone else in between!

In 1962, Frank married his sweetheart Adeline, whom he grew up with in the same neighborhood! They lived in Woburn for a brief time and then nestled in to their home in Burlington. There they brought their two wonderful children into the world to whom they dedicated themselves. Hampton Beach was always the place for their fun in the sun adventures. Even as a child growing up, this was always the place for those very special vacations.

In 1999 when Frank retired he had more time than he ever dreamed possible! His work week being six days strong, minimum of sixty hours weekly, this time was truly a gift enjoying each and every minute of it.

The family began growing with the marriage of his children and the grandchildren began arriving and he couldn’t have been prouder. For Frank time spent with family was truly valuable and he wasted none. “Papa” loved travelling to Disneyworld with the grandchildren, each time finding something new and different there. He and Adeline also enjoyed going to Bermuda and they had enjoyed a wonderful trip to Hawaii.

A very quiet and reserved gentle man, his very kind, thoughtful, good and generous nature was always present.

Sadly in addition to his parents Frank was predeceased by his brothers Anthony and Domenic Nett.

Frank is lovingly survived by his wife Adeline Nett, his loving children Denise M. Raftery, her husband Michael, of Westwood and Paul F. Nett, his wife Doreen B., of NH. Dear brother of Mary Pedi of Woburn, Angelina “Angie” DeLetter of Wilmington, Joseph Nett of Woburn, Carolyn Agostino of Woburn. Loving “Papa” of Katelyn and Meghan Raftery and Christopher, Nicole and Paul Michael Nett. A Funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, Tuesday, October 18th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Malachy’s Church, 99 Bedford Street, Burlington, at 10:00 a.m. Family and friends are invited to call Monday, October 17th, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
