JAMES D. DOWNEY – of Billerica , formally of Woburn, May 28 th, 69 years of age. Beloved husband of Diane (Migliacci) Downey. Loving father of Renee Joy and Lisa Downey of Billerica, Nichole Downey of Woburn, Stacy Nelson, her husband Tim of Methuen. Dear brother of Patricia Currie, her husband John of FL, Kathleen Paone, her husband Robert of Andover, and Karen Domenici, her husband Raymond of Woburn. Proud “Papa” of Christina, Katelyn, Zaria, Jason, and great-grand “Papa” of Alexis and Brayden. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend calling hours at the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Sunday, June 5th, 2-6 p.m. A Graveside Service will be conducted in Woodbrook Cemetery, 100 Salem St. Woburn, Monday, June 6th at 1:00 p.m.. Rememberances may be made in James’ memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place , Memphis, TN 38105.


JAMES D. DOWNEY- of Billerica formally of Woburn, passed away Saturday, May 28th. The son of the late James F. and Eileen (Wheeler) Downey, he was 69 years old. James was a hard working man who enjoyed his lifelong career as a truck driver. James was an avid Boston sports fan and enjoyed fishing as well as playing the lottery. He was a beloved husband of Diane (Migliacci)Downey; loving father of Renee Joy and Lisa Downey of Billerica, Nichole Downey of Woburn and Stacy Nelson of Methuen; cherished brother of Patricia Currie her husband John of Florida, Kathleen Paone her husband Robert of Andover, Karen Domenici her husband Raymond of Woburn Proud Papa of Christina and Katelyn Joy and Zaria and Jason Nelson Great Grandpapa of Alexis and Brayden Also survived by many nieces and nephews He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was the their rock. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to calling hours at Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home on Sunday, June 5th from 2-6 pm. A graveside service will be held at Woodbrook Cemetery, 100 Salem Street, Woburn on Monday June 6th at 1:00 pm.

You went above and beyond for your family and I will never forget it. Til I see you again there won’t be a minute of the day that I don’t think of you.   4. I am sorry for your loss.
    I worked at Severance with Jimmy back in the late 70’s, early 80’s and he was always nice and made me laugh.
