  1. Our sincere condolences to the Allwood Family. Virginia was the lifelong friend of my Grandmother, Lucille Cook Nickerson, until her passing in 1996. It was a great gift to remain friends with Virginia. Our discussions about my family, politics, Maine, and her interests was always enlightening. Her advice, wise. The strength, courage, and determination with which she approached all things will remain with me always.
