OBITUARY:

Louise Mary (Browne) Sickorez passed away on Tuesday, January 19th at the Putnam Farm Senior Living Facility, in Danvers. Beloved wife of the late Michael Paul Sickorez, she was ninety three years of age.

Born in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late John and Bridget( Gavigan)Browne, who were very proud irish immigrants from Ireland. One of seven children, she was raised and educated in Somerville graduating from Somerville High School. Louise furthered her education following high school at the Lawrence Memorial School of Nursing. While attending school there she was introduced to her husband Michael, whom she later married. For forty nine years they remained dedicated to each other and brought four wonderful children into the world.

Moving to Woburn in 1948, this was home. Raising children, being very active in all of their activities, she was to say the least, very busy throughout all those years. Having worked in private practice after graduating Lawrence Memorial Hospital before her marriage she put her profession on hold till her children were out of school. Louise returned to work for Winchester Hospital for over twenty five years, again Registered Nurse, the profession she was extremely proud of. As a matter of fact, Louise was the longest living graduate of the Lawrence Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, again being so proud of that accomplishment.

A gifted soprano soloist she also had the choice of attending Julliard in New York City for further voice training, but nursing was her first choice! She was very active in the choir at St. Charles Church and many of the other activities that were going on there. She loved to sing!

Louise and her husband were avid Ballroom dancers and served as instructors throughout the years. During many of their sessions of dancing she was tasked with keeping up with the “Polka King” her husband, which she did and did quite well at.

Louise enjoyed every day! She remained driving right up till last October and had lived at home right up to last January. Louise was a woman of great faith, love of family, character and grace. The cherished memories she has made throughout her life are very long lasting, in the hearts of many.

Sadly,in addition to her parents, Louise was predeceased by her husband of forty nine years Michael Paul Sickorez, her siblings, Margaret Ryan, Mary Conceison, Alice Carr, Claire McCarthy and Robert Browne and her brother in-law Robert Beston.

She is lovingly survived by her children, Paul Michael Sickorez and his wife Linda of Amesbury, Donn Gerard Sickorez of TX, Glen John Sickorez and wife France Potvin of Watertown and Mark Thomas Sickorez and his wife Celeste of Lowell, her sister Betsy Beston of Peabody, her grandchildren, Michael T. Sickorez of WI, Michelle (Sickorez) McGrath and her husband Robert of Pepperell, Matthew R. Sickorez and his wife Katherine, Jeffrey Sickorez and his wife Abigail all of TX, Jay Douglas Sickorez and his wife Samantha of Ayer, David J. Sickorez of Lowell and Keith D. Sickorez and his fiancé Mary Mosewick of Tewksbury, and her great grandchildren, Kyle Robert, Erin Diane, Sean Michael, Zachary, and Donovan.

A Funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Friday, January 22nd at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, at 10. 1. I met your parents at your dads doc office several years ago I worked there I got to know them pretty well and I honestly can say that I never saw 2 people so in love. The way mike looked at your mom and when he would laugh at something she said or did. Then several years later Louise ended up in front of my desk at Dr Terzians office. Again she lit up the office and we loved when she came in as there was always some fun. She loved her boys so much and you all are such great sons. Louise was quite the lady and I’ll never forget her

  2. Paul,
Our deepest sympathy in the loss of your Mom. Chris and I have such fond memories of your mom and Dad. It was through meeting your parents that we were introduced to The Wilmington Dance group and had such good times with them and met so many wonderful friends as a result.
