McMENIMEN, Robert T. Of N. Billerica, Thursday, December 17th. Beloved husband of the late Rebecca (Finethy) McMenimen. Loving brother of Nancy M. McMenimen. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in the First Baptist Church, 3 Winn Street, Woburn on Tuesday, December 22nd at 11 a.m. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Calling hours will be held in the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main St, Woburn on Monday, December 21st from 3 to 7 p.m.

OBITUARY:

Robert T. McMenimen passed away at the Lahey Clinic on December 17th, after a lingering illness. The beloved husband of the late Rebecca C. (Finethy) McMenimen, he was sixty six years of age.

Born in Arlington he was the son of the late Robert W. and Mary E. (Powers) McMenimen.

Raised in Billerica, “Bob”as he was known, was a graduate of Keith Academy in Lowell, in 1967. He continued on his educational journey at Northeastern University where he graduated from in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science Degree.

Bob secured a position at MITRE Corporation where he remained over the years. Over the last decade or so he had served as the Budget Analyst and completed forty-five years of dedicated service.

In 1980 he married his longtime sweetheart Becky Finethy, to whom he was devoted to for a little over twenty-seven years. During that time they travelled, cross-country skied, bicycled and a true NASCAR enthusiast, following it at the track or on television with his wife. Aruba was the favorite island destination, where they visited frequently and had many happy memories. They were both also very actively involved in the First Baptist Church, serving on the different boards, teaching Sunday School and participating in any way that would be of help.

Bob, was predeceased by his parents and sadly Bob was predeceased by his wife of twenty seven years Becky in 2007.

Bob was lovingly survived by his sister Nancy M. McMenimen.

  1. Living on west coast, I was not aware that Bob was ill. I was Becky’s Worthy Patron in OES in 2005-2006. So sorry to hear of his passing. He is now back with Becky.

  3. So sorry for your loss. I worked with Bob at Mitre for many years and enjoyed knowing him. May your hearts be at peace knowing he is no longer struggling.
