RALPH L. “BUTCHIE” GIRARDI SR.- Of Woburn, Wednesday, Dec 2nd. Beloved husband of Marilyn Dooley-Girardi. Former husband of Raffaella (Fuccillo) Girardi and the late Nancy “Jeanie”( Keane) Girardi. Devoted father of Ralph L. Girardi Jr. and his wife Sharon of NH, Ronald Girardi of NC, and Richard C. Girardi of Marlborough. Loving step-father of Jason M. Dooley of Fl. Father in-law of Tami Girardi of NH. Dear brother of Nicholas A. Girardi and his wife Elizabeth, and Esther Henehan and her late husband John all of Woburn. Cherished “Grampa” of Jessica, Anthony, Andrew, Tia, Shayne, Aleah, Marchello, Grace, and Colin, as well as “Pa” to Brayden. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service in the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, Saturday, January 2nd at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to call from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the Service. OBITUARY:

Ralph L. “Butchie” Girardi Sr. passed away in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, December 2nd, surrounded by his loving family. The beloved husband of Marilyn (Connelly) Dooley Girardi, he was seventy two years of age.

Born in Winchester, he was the son of the late Ralph and Mary (Macinanti) Girardi. “Butchie” as he was called by family and friends, attended Woburn High School. During his senior year he entered the United States Army, having served his country proudly during the Viet Nam War.

Butchie worked as a Truck Mechanic throughout his life having specialized in hydraulics. Right up until his retirement he had worked for Mass Electric for just over twenty five years.

For over forty years Butchie made his home in Malden. Butchie brought three sons into the world to whom he was devoted. Fishing was an all time favorite pastime and this was something he always enjoyed and shared with his son Ralph. Fishing tournaments were also a specialty of Butchie’s as he belonged to the Southern NH Bass Club over the years.

Seven years ago he married his sweetheart Marilyn Dooley, to whom he has been devoted. Their honeymoon was truly a trip of a lifetime having cruised the Mediterranean for several weeks. Naples, FL was always the destination over the winter months for a good number of years. He and Marilyn truly enjoyed entertaining at their home. Cooking was always a great source of pleasure and they entertained family and friends often, there in Naples. While in Florida, they would spend Thanksgiving with his step son Jason and family in Ft. Lauderdale each year.

Butchie was a member of the Electrical Union, where he served as Shop Steward for a time and also Southern NH Bass Club.

Sadly, Ralph was predeceased by his parents, his wife Nancy “Jeanie”( Keane) Girardi as well as his brother in-law John Henehan.

He is lovingly survived by his wife, Marilyn Dooley-Girardi; his former wife, Raffaella (Fuccillo) Girardi; his children, Ralph L. Girardi Jr. and his wife Sharon of NH, Ronald Girardi of NC, and Richard C. Girardi of Marlborough; his stepson, Jason M. Dooley of Fl; his daughter in-law, Tami Girardi of NH; his siblings, Nicholas A. Girardi and his wife Elizabeth and Esther Henehan all of Woburn; his grandchildren, Jessica, Anthony, Andrew, Tia, Shayne, Aleah, Marchello, Grace, and Colin; and his great grandchild, Brayden.
