OBITUARY:
James E. Jimmy Kelly, Jr. passed away Saturday, September 5th. The beloved son of Pauline A. (Ferullo) Kelly and the late James E. Kelly, he was fifty-six years of age.
Born and raised in Woburn, Jimmy, as he was affectionately known, was one of eleven children. He attended Woburn schools and graduated from Woburn High School with the Class of 1978.
Following high school Jimmy secured a job as a truck driver working for Boston Sand and Gravel as a proud member of the Teamsters, Local 25. He also travelled and worked following the Super Modified Regional Racing Circuit. Jimmy enjoyed refurbishing and repurposing antiques, but his greatest love was for that of his family. Jimmy looked forward to any and all time he was able to spend with his nieces and nephews, and as the family grew, his great nieces and nephews. A close knit clan, Jimmy was extremely close to his mom, dad, and ten siblings.
A man with a great sense of humor and a sharp un-canning intellect, Jimmy will be missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his father, Jimmy was predeceased by his sister, Mary Paladino.
He is lovingly survived by his mother, Pauline A. (Ferullo) Kelly; his siblings, Kathleen A. Lucero and her husband Paul, Maureen Kelly, all of Woburn, Colleen “Coco” Wing and her husband Glenn of FL, Pauline K. Cuoco and her husband John of Boston, Susan M. Kelly, all of Woburn; twelve nieces and nephews; nine great nieces and nephews; his cousin, Sheila Kelly Vaughn of Chelmsford,; and many other loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

To the Kelly family,
Please accept our heartfelt condolences and sympathy on the loss of your beloved son, brother and uncle. Wishing you strength during this time of adversity and sorrow. We are so very sorry that Jimmy lost his valiant fight against FSH muscular dystrophy. It touches each and every one of us knowing that his life was shortened by this disease, and with his passing, we feel a sense of diminishment and personal loss as kindred spirits. On behalf of the Board of Directors, the Scientific Advisory Board and Staff of the FSH Society please let us know if there is anything that we may do. We are most appreciative of your honoring Jimmy’s memory with donations requested to the Society and we will continue to strive for solutions and treatments. Thank you.
With affection and sorrow,
