OBITUARY:

Julie Barbara Colantuonio passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July 21st at the Cape Cod Hospital, after being stricken at her home earlier in the day. The beloved daughter of Peter and Karen (Brogna) Calantuonio, she was forty years of age.

Born in Boston, she was one of two children born to the Colantuonio’s. Raised and educated right here in Woburn, they made their home in the North Woburn section of the City. Julie attended Woburn Schools and was a graduate of Woburn High School along with the Class of 1993. She continued her education at Johnson and Whales University in Rhode Island.

After graduating from college, Julie returned home where she began working at SBLI Insurance where she remained for almost a decade and then to the Marriott Corp.

A truly wonderful woman, Julie put her heart and soul into everything she did. Cooking and baking she made look easy from the gourmet meals to the succulent desserts. Organizing family parities, weddings and any event where she could help out, she was right there from the get go! Julie had volunteered at the Woburn Boys and Girls Club throughout the years helping out at the various fund raisers and offered cooking classes to all its members.

A very outgoing, kind and sincere woman she had a host of wonderful friends with whom she shared her life. Julie’s family was the biggest part of her life though. Throughout the last several years she had been a caregiver for her Mom and Dad.

Four years ago, she brought her dear son Teddy into the world, to whom she has been lovingly devoted. The loving arrival of Teddy had just brought Julie’s life to a very special place of being “Mom” to a very special little boy.

In addition to her parents, Pater and Karen, and her son Teddy, Julie was lovingly survived by her dear sister, Lisa Hogan of Burlington, nephews, Bradley and Zachery, and niece, Brooke. She is also survived by her loving aunts and uncles, Barbara Lambropoulos and her husband Peter of Burlington, Kim McDonough and her husband Mark of Woburn, Marijude Brennan of Burlington, and Ralph Brogna and his wife Cindy of Woburn. Also lovingly survived by many cousins and friends.

Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Saturday, July 25th at 11:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn at 12 noon. Calling hours will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the Mass. Interment is private. Remembrances may be made in Julie’s memory at www.gofundme.com/zzpr9sc.
