MARY F. (GONSALVES) PIAZZA – of Woburn, Wednesday, July 1st. Beloved wife of the late Frank S. Piazza. Devoted mother of Frank C. Piazza of Woburn. Dear sister-in-law of Josey Piazza of Methuen and the late Nino Piazza and Mamie Milone. Also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Wednesday, July 8th at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn at 10. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Relatives and friends may call at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Remembrances may be made in Mary’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.

OBITUARY:

Mary F. (Gonsalves) Piazza, a lifelong resident of Woburn, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, July 1st at her home with her son by her side. The beloved wife of the late Frank S. Piazza, she was ninety-three years of age.

Mrs. Piazza was born in Woburn, the daughter of late Manuel and Augusta (Dereis) Gonsalves. She was a graduate of Woburn High School, Class of 1942. She spent her entire life here in Woburn. She worked for a time for General Electric as well as Gorin’s and the Bell Shop in Woburn Center.

Mary enjoyed a good game of cards and loved to dance. She especially enjoyed dancing to Frank Sinatra, a favorite pastime of she and her husband Frank. Mary watched any and all sporting events, but was a true lifelong fan of the Bruins and Celtics. More than anything, Mary loved her husband, son and husband’s family, the Piazzas, as well as cousins and the many friends she had made throughout her life.

In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband, Frank S. Piazza, her sister-in-law Mamie Milone, and her brother-in-law, Nino Piazza.

She is lovingly survived by her son, Frank C. Piazza of Woburn, as well as a dear sister-in-law, Josey Piazza of Methuen. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
