ELIZABETH (SOMERVILLE) PANDOLPH – age 94, in Woburn, January 31st. Beloved wife of the late Angelo Pandolph and the late James Scott. Devoted mother of Betty Jean Milo and her husband Henry of Woburn, Linda Crandall of Alabama and her late husband Hart, Peter Scott of Bedford, Anne Marie Phillips of GA, and Sandra Turner of Woburn. Sister of the late Stuart and Ida Somerville. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, and predeceased by a grandson, Joshua Scott. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Donations may be made in her memory to Care Alternatives, 181 Cedar Hill Road, Marlborough, MA 01752.

OBITUARY:

Elizabeth Pandolph of Woburn passed away peacefully in her home early Tuesday, January 31st, with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Angelo Pandolph, who died in 1963, and the late James Scott, who died in 1949.

Elizabeth was born in Woburn ninety-four years ago, daughter of the late David and Alice May (Hurlburt) Somerville. She graduated from Woburn High School and lived here all her life, with the exception of a few years in North Carolina while her first husband was in the service.

Prior to her retirement, she worked for Colony Corporation, a window shade company in Woburn, as a bookkeeper. Prior to that she worked for the Registry of Motor Vehicles, the Massachusetts Industrial Accident Board, and for Bradlees.

She enjoyed knitting for her grandchildren and made beautiful lap blankets for senior citizens homes. She was an avid Bingo player who rarely missed an opportunity to play. Elizabeth led an active life until recent days and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Along with her first husband, James Scott, and her second husband, Angelo Pandolph, she was predeceased by her beloved grandson, Joshua Scott, her brother and sister, Stuart and Ida Somerville, and her son-in-law, Hart Crandall.

Surviving are five children: Betty Jean Milo and her husband Henry of Woburn, Linda Crandall of Alabama, Peter Scott of Bedford, Anne Marie Phillips of Georgia, and Sandra Turner of Woburn. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.

    I am so saddened to hear the news of your mother’s passing, she was a wonderful lady – she was always there to help out whenever she could. She was one of a kind. I will miss her dearly.
