OBITUARY:

Michael C. DeAngelo, 49, of Woburn passed away at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston early Saturday, April 16th, following an illness of several months. He was the beloved husband of Laura J. (Carlson) DeAngelo for nearly fourteen years.

Born in Everett, son of the late Nicholas J. and Rosina A. (Lerio) DeAngelo, he moved with his family from Everett to Wakefield when he was ten years of age. The family then took up residence in Wakefield, where Michael graduated from Wakefield High School with the class of 1980.

He and his wife Laura met when they were youngsters, dated in high school, and went their separate ways. They kept in touch over the years and eventually were reunited. They married in 1997 and made their home in Woburn. Michael was a devoted husband and father, and enjoyed all the activities in which his sons were involved. He assisted them with homework and Little League, and particularly enjoyed time spent together every summer at Weirs Beach in New Hampshire.

He was the owner of Teleservice Plus, a phone system installation business, for over seventeen years.

Along with his beloved wife Laura and his cherished sons, Nicholas and Anthony, Michael is survived by two brothers, Nicholas DeAngelo of Braintree and Paul A. DeAngelo and his wife Carol of Billerica, two sisters, Marie A. Bonnett and her companion Bill Burgess of Gilford, New Hampshire, and Anne T. Bardes and her husband Joseph of Woburn; his stepbrother, Jack Sullivan of Florida and Kitty Loud and her husband Lewis of Belmont, New Hampshire. Also surviving are his wife’s extended family and many loving nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held in the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Tuesday, April 19th at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will follow in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.

Calling hours are Monday from 4 to 8 p.m.
