SHIRLEY V. (CLARK) JOHNSON – age 78, of N. Billerica, December 11th. Beloved sister of Jean (Clark) Duran of E. Falmouth and her late husband Thomas, Gordon Clark and his wife Olive of Burlington, and John “Jack” Clark and his wife Lorraine of E. Falmouth. Also survived by several loving nieces and nephews. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.

OBITUARY:

Shirley V. Johnson, a former Woburn resident who had made her home in North Billerica for many years, passed away at Saints Medical Center in Lowell on Saturday, December 11th. She was seventy-eight years of age.

Born in Woburn, Shirley was the daughter of the late Walter G. and Pearl V. (Chase) Clark. She was raised in Burlington and attended Burlington schools. She lived in Woburn for a number of years before taking up residence in North Billerica in the 1970’s.

She worked for the Hood Company in her early years, and won an award there for cost-cutting measures she recommended that were adopted by the company. Later she was employed by Woburn National Bank, Smith Industries in Wilmington, and most recently drove a van for special needs students.

Shirley had a natural musical talent and loved to entertain at family gatherings. She was a beloved aunt to her nieces and nephews and enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was the beloved sister of Jean (Clark) Duran of E. Falmouth and her late husband Thomas, Gordon Clark and his wife Olive of Burlington, and John “Jack” Clark and his wife Lorraine of E. Falmouth. Also surviving are several loving nieces and nephews.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.

  1. Jean, our deepest sympathy to you for the loss of your beloved sister. I remember Shirley as a fun loving person although it has been many years since that time. Rest in peace, sweet lady.

    My prayers are with you on this second tragic loss! Oh how I remember Shirley and all the laughs we had at the “country club”, WNB West Side. She was great fun and a very kind lady. Please take good care!
