PALMA M. (DiLORENZO) HOMIC – in Woburn, August 20th. Beloved wife of Edward F. Homic. Dear sister of Catherine M. D’Arcangelo of Woburn and the late Frank, Steve, Dom, and Antimo DiLorenzo, Jimmy Quinno, and Sarah King. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and nephews. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Monday, August 23rd at 9:15 a.m. Funeral mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, at 10. Calling hours Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn. Donations may be made in Palma’s memory to the Sawtelle Family Hospice House, VNA of Middlesex East, 607 North Avenue, Suite 17, Wakefield, MA 01880, or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
OBITUARY:
Palma M. “Pam” Homic, a lifelong Woburn resident, passed away at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading, surrounded by her family, Friday morning, August 20th, following an illness of several months. She was the beloved wife of Edward F. Homic for the past fifty-six years.
Born in Woburn eighty years ago, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Palma (Nataro) DiLorenzo. She was a 1947 graduate of Woburn High school. For many years she was employed by Alpha Industries as an assembler.
“Auntie,” as she was lovingly known to family and friends alike, was an outgoing woman who loved being surrounded by her family. With her fun-loving nature, she entertained her many nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and nephews over the years, and she was often called upon to lend her babysitting talents.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Frank, Steve, Dom, and Antimo DiLorenzo and Jimmy Quinno, and a sister, Sarah King.
Surviving, along with her husband Ed, are a sister, Catherine M. D’Arcangelo of Woburn, and many loving nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Monday, August 23rd at 9:15 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, at 10. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m.

I am going to miss Auntie very much. She was a very special person, she always made me feel very welcome to the family and when Anthony gets older I’ll be happy to share my memories of Auntie Pam with him. And in my heart I know that she’s in a better place and she’s not in pain anymore.
