MICHAEL S. WARD – in Woburn, Saturday, April 17th.He was the husband of Janet (Flynn) Ward. Loving father of Michael, Carolyn, and Kristen Ward, all of Woburn. Beloved son of Blanche E. (Hanlon) Ward of FL and the late William F. Ward. Dear brother of William F. Ward Jr., and Mary-Alice Ward, both of Woburn and Terrence P. Ward of NH. Funeral Services are private and under the direction of the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn.
OBITUARY:
Michael S. Ward passed away unexpectedly Saturday April 17th at the Winchester Hospital. The husband of Janet (Flynn) Ward, he was fifty four years of age.
Born in Woburn he was the beloved son of Blanche E. (Hanlon) Ward and the late William Ward. He attended the Woburn Public Schools and was a graduate of Woburn High School Class of 1972. Throughout his growing up years and high school years Michael was an outstanding athlete in both baseball and hockey. He received many plaques and awards not only for his agility and athleticism, but his fine sportsmanship.
Following high school he continued his education at Boston State College, where he also had the opportunity channel his energies into sports.
Following college he became very interested in carpenty and over the years he has worked as an independent carpenter.
He married his sweetheart Janet Flynn, and together they raised three children. Spending time with his wife, children, brothers and sister were times most cherished.
Michael was predeceased by his Dad, William Ward.
Michael is survived by his wife Janet, children Michael, Carolyn, and Kristen Ward, all of Woburn. Beloved son of Blanche E. (Hanlon) Ward of FL . Dear brother of William F.
