CAROL A. (MURPHY) CHAMBERS – in Woburn, April 1st. Beloved wife of Francis E. Chambers. Devoted mother of Francis and his wife Linda of Rowley, Edward C. and his wife Paula of Billerica, and Robin, Richard, and Charles, all of Woburn. Dear sister of Richard Murphy of Woburn and Patricia Demonico of MN. Loving grandmother of Danielle, Courtney, Lindsy, Edward Jr., Piper, Corey, and Alec Chambers, Cassie Laughman, Rachel LeBlanc, and Ashley Communale, and great-grandmother of Deanna and Damien Santos and Brianna Frasier. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 7th at 9 a.m. in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. There are no calling hours. Arrangements by the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn.

OBITUARY:

Carol A. (Murphy) Chambers of Woburn passed away Wednesday afternoon, April 1st, at Winchester Hospital following a lengthy illness. The wife of Francis E. “Buddy” Chambers, she was sixty-six years of age.

Born in Winchester and raised in Medford, she attended Medford schools and received nurse’s training at Youville Hospital Nursing School. For many years she worked as a licensed practical nurse at the Aberjona Nursing Center in Winchester until her retirement nine years ago.

She was devoted to her family and enjoyed cake decorating and baking. Her grandchildren and later her great-grandchildren were very special to her.

Surviving along with her husband Francis are four sons: Francis of Rowley, Edward of Billerica, and Richard and Charles, both of Woburn, and a daughter, Robin, of Woburn. She was also the dear sister of Richard Murphy of Woburn and Patricia Demonico of Minnesota, loving grandmother of Danielle, Courtney, Lindsy, Edward Jr., Piper, Corey, and Alec Chambers, Cassie Laughman, Rachel LeBlanc, and Ashley Communale, and great-grandmother of Deanna and Damien Santos and Brianna Frasier.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 7th at 9 a.m. in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. There are no calling hours.
