MARJORIE V. MERCIER -in Woburn, Tuesday, December 16th, beloved wife of the late Armand D. “Dave” Mercier. Devoted mother of Karen Mercier-Sharrio of Nashua,NH. Dear sister of Donald Phinney and his wife Virginia “Sis” of Woburn, Charles Phinney and his wife Pauline of Billerica, Barbara DiMauro of Swampscott, Patricia Eldred of Lowell and the late Frank, Vernon and Robert Phinney. Cherished grandmother of Richard Sharrio and his wife Michelle of Woburn, Don Sharrio and his wife Pam of NH, Christine Sharrio of FL and great grandchildren, Jacob, Daniel and David Sharrio. Loving sister-in-law, Linda Anderson-Mercier of Beverly. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to call at the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Thursday, December 18th, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will follow in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn at 10. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery,Woburn. Donations may be made in Mrs. Mercier’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.

OBITUARY:

Marjorie V.(Phinney) Mercier, a lifelong resident of Woburn, passed away quietly at home, on Tuesday, December 16th. The beloved wife of the late Armand Dave Mercier, she was eighty-seven years of age. Daughter of the late Frank and Katherine (Riley) Phinney, Marjorie was a graduate of Woburn High School, Class of 1938. After her marriage, she and her husband made their home in Woburn where they raised their daughter, Karen.

Throughout her life, Marjorie approached the world with a positive attitude, even after losing her husband in 1981. She was extremely talented when it came to crocheting and needlework. She crocheted Christmas ornaments which she shared with family and friends. Marjorie was an avid walker, even though she was legally blind. Every morning she would make he way to Dunkin Donuts to spend time with her friends. She maintained an active life and keep her mind sharp right up to her final days. Marjorie was very well known and a loved member of the Woburn community.

Majorie was predeceased by her husband Armand D. Mercier and her brothers, Frank, Vernon and Robert Phinney.

She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Karen Mercier-Sharrio of NH, her siblings,Donald Phinney and his wife Virginia “Sis” of Woburn, Charles Phinney and his wife Pauline of Billerica, Barbara DiMauro of Swampscott, Patricia Eldred of Lowell, her grandchildren, Richard Sharrio and his wife Michelle of Woburn, Don Sharrio and his wife Pam of NH, Christine Sharrio of FL, her great grandchildren, Jacob, Daniel and David Sharrio and her sister-in-law, Linda Anderson-Mercier of Beverly.
