DIANE M. (DiSCIULLO) MORRISON – in Woburn, passed away at home, Thursday, December 11th. Loving mother of Darlene Morrison of Reading and Scott Morrison and his wife Kelly of NH. Dear sister of Claire Buckler. Devoted grandmother of Sarah and Daniel Morrison. A Funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street,Woburn on Monday, December 15th at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Barbara’s Church, Cambridge Rd. Woburn at 10. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3to7 p.m.


Diane M. (DiSciullo) Morrison of Woburn, passed away peacefully at home, Thursday morning, December 11th, with her children by her side. Succumbing to cancer at the age of sixty-one, she possessed great strength and courage throughout her illness. Born in Roxbury, Diane was the daughter of the late Albert and Clara DiSciullo. She was a graduate of Woburn High School and went on to attend a secretarial school in Boston. Diane began her career at Sullivan and Gogliano in Waltham where she remained for a number of years before joining the staff at Waltham Chemical. For the past ten years she had been employed as an executive assistant at Radiation Monitoring Devices in Watertown.

In addition to her fulltime position, Diane, along with a few friends, organized New England New Vistas, an organization that assisted people living with disabilities. Over a ten year period, they coordinated trips to destinations such as Disney World and New Hampshire’s ski resorts. Diane was also assisted by her son and daughter in this endeavor.

Diane was a vibrant, caring woman with a heart of gold. Aside from her charitable works, she loved spending time with her family, especially during the holidays and for their birthdays celebrations. In later years, Nini, as she was affectionately known, was blessed with two grandchildren, whom she adored.

Diane was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Clara (DiNozzi) DiSciullo.

She is lovingly survived by her children, Darlene Morrison of Reading and Scott Morrison and his wife Kelly of NH, her sister of Claire Buckler of NH and her grandchildren, Sarah and Daniel Morrison. A Funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Monday, December 15th at 9 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Barbara’s Church, 138 Cambridge Rd. Woburn at 10. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.

    I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. She was such a sweetheart and I will never forget her. She was always so good to me ,Dennis and the kids. Especially Dennis Jr. He loved her so much. She will be missed in so many ways and will always be carried in the hearts of my family. We will always be here for you. We love you girl. Stay strong and always know it’s never good-bye,only an I’ll be seeing you later. She’s in a better place and she may not be here in person but always right by your side and only a thought away.     I only knew Diane for a short time but i enjoyed talking with her. She will be sorely missed but always in our hearts. Remember she is not in pain anymore and is in a better place. If you need to talk you can always call me.

    Your mom was a wonderful loving person.Which shows by the way her kids carried themselves and put their lives on hold in thier mothers time of need.

    I will miss you so much.I am so proud of you for fighting so hard.I am so sorry that you suffered so much.You are my best friend.Thank you for being such a great mom.Thank you for always being there for me. You always knew what to say.You always knew how to make me feel better.I am so lost without you but i know you are in a better place now.You will always have a special place in my heart.Right now i feel lost,empty and scared but i know you will help me through this.I will love you for ever and always.I can not say good bye because that makes it final.I will do what i did with nanny.That you are on a long vacation and that i will see you someday.Thank you for my birthday message.
