ELEANORA F. (MacCLELLAN) MALONE – in Woburn, June 26th. Beloved mother of Steven F. Malone and his wife Diane of Woburn, John W. Malone and his wife Lauralyn of Wilmington, and Sandra L. Madore and her husband Stephen of Chelmsford. Sister of the late Francis, Russell, and Robert MacClellan. Loving grandmother of Brandon and Steven Malone, John and Bret Malone, and Craig and Andrea Madore. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Donations may be made in her memory to the VNA of Middlesex East, 607 North Avenue, Suite 17, Wakefield, MA 01880. Arrangements by the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, Woburn.

OBITUARY:

Eleanora F. Malone, a longtime Woburn resident, passed away peacefully at her son’s home in North Woburn early Thursday, surrounded by her family. She was seventy-eight years of age.

Born and raised in Melrose, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Alice (Pedersen)MacClellan. She attended Melrose schools and lived in Wakefield for a time before taking up residence in East Woburn forty-one years ago.

Mrs. Malone worked for High Voltage Engineering and Raytheon in Burlington for many years, primarily in the food catering department.

She dearly loved being a grandmother and delighted in the time spent with her grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were three brothers: Francis, Russell, and Robert MacClellan.

Surviving are two sons: Steven F. Malone and his wife Diane of Woburn and John W. Malone and his wife Lauralyn of Wilmington, a daughter, Sandra L. Madore and her husband Stephen of Chelmsford, and six grandchildren: Brandon and Steven Malone, John and Bret Malone, and Craig and Andrea Madore.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.

Donations may be made in her memory to the VNA of Middlesex East, 607 North Avenue, Suite 17, Wakefield, MA 01880.

Arrangements are being handled by the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, Woburn.

    To the Malone family.
    I was so saddened to read this morning that Eleanor passed away. I know she fought a long hard battle over these past years, but at least now she’s at peace. Please accept my sympathies and know I’m thinking of you all in your time of loss and grief.
