JANET A. (COTE) OLSEN – in Woburn,Wednesday, May 21st, beloved wife of David Olsen. Devoted mother of Danielle M. Olsen. Cherished daughter of Charlotte Cote of NH and the late Bertrand Cote. Loving sister of Lorraine A. Bleau and her husband Robert of NH. Dear sister-in-law of Sandra Olsen of Arlington and Richard and Hilda Olsen of FL. Dear niece of Eileen Grenier of AZ. Also survived by loving cousins, nieces and nephews. OBITUARY:

Janet A. (Cote) Olsen, of Woburn, passed away on Wednesday, May 21st, at the Sawtelle Hospice House in Reading after battling lung cancer. The beloved wife of David Olsen, she was fifty-one years of age. Born in Manchester, NH, Janet was the daughter of Charlotte M. (Steele) Cote of NH and the late Bertrand L. Cote. Raised in Manchester, she was a graduate of Manchester High School and went on to work in the insurance industry. She was first employed by Bankers Life Insurance in Burlington and later worked for an insurance agency in Boston.

In 1988, Janet married her husband, David, whom she had met through friends in Boston. They lived in Salem for a short period before making Woburn their permanent home. Their resided in the South End where they raised their daughter. During the summer months they enjoyed the beaches of Rockport, Long Beach in particular, and in the winter, she and her daughter loved to ski at Mt. Cranmore in New Hampshire. They especially enjoyed traveling and visited Europe, the Caribbean, the Meditteranean, California, Florida and took various cruises. New York City was also a favorite destination where they would catch a Broadway show. Additionally, she loved sports, the Boston Red Sox and decorating.

Janet was a fun loving, energetic woman who loved to organize and take on challenging projects. During the past four years, she was running her own online trophy business, Authentic Awards. She loved life, lived it to its fullest and cherished time shared with her family. This coming August, she and David would have celebrated their twentieth wedding anniversary.

Janet was predeceased by her father, Bertrand L. Cote.

She is lovingly survived by her husband, David Olsen, her daughter, Danielle M. Olsen. Her mother, Charlotte M. (Steele) Cote of NH, her sister Lorraine A. Bleau and her husband Robert of NH, her in laws, Sandra Olsen of Arlington and Richard and Hilda Olsen of FL, her aunt, Eileen Grenier of AZ and loving cousins, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Memorial Mass in St. Joseph’s Church, 100 Washington Street, Woburn on Friday, May 23rd at 11 a.m.
