CHARLES X. “CHUCK” IHLEY – in Woburn, February 18th. Beloved husband of Joyce A. (Kilpatrick) Ihley. Devoted father of Patricia A. Paradise and her husband Paul of Woburn, Thomas M. Ihley and his wife Brenda of Wrentham, Joan M. Ihley-Fortuna and her husband Paul of Methuen, and Tracy A. Dussault and her husband Paul of Townsend. Dear brother of James Mahoney of Marco Island, FL, Joseph Mahoney of Hull, and the late George “Buddy” Mahoney, Irene Trenholm, and Eleanor Ihley. Loving grandfather of Evan, Janel, and Owen Paradise, Nicholas, Nathaniel and Noah Ihley, Kayleigh and Mariah Fortuna, and Jarod and Cassandra Dussault. A funeral service will be held in the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Friday, February 22nd at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Calling hours at the funeral home are on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. Donations may be made in Chuck’s memory to Partners Hospice, 281 Winter Street, Suite 200, Waltham, MA 02451.

OBITUARY:

Charles X. Ihley, 73, a resident of Woburn’s West Side for many years, passed away in Winchester on Monday, February 18th, following a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Joyce A. (Kilpatrick) Ihley for over forty-six years.

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Charles O. and Mary L. (Tracy) Ihley. He was raised in Lexington and attended Lexington schools. Chuck, as he was known to friends and family, worked as a baker throughout his life. For over twenty-five years he worked for Wonder Bread, and following his retirement was employed at Smillie Candy Distributors of Woburn.

He was a great animal lover and served as co-leader of the Woburn 4-H Club for many years. He enjoyed gardening and caring for his yard, but particularly loved spending the time he was able to spend with his family.

He was preceded in death by a brother, George “Buddy” Mahoney, and two sisters, Irene Trenholm, and Eleanor Ihley.

Surviving along with his wife Joyce are three daughters: Patricia A. Paradise and her husband Paul of Woburn, Joan M. Ihley-Fortuna and her husband Paul of Methuen, and Tracy A. Dussault and her husband Paul of Townsend, a son, Thomas M. Ihley and his wife Brenda of Wrentham, and two brothers: James Mahoney of Marco Island, Florida and Joseph Mahoney of Hull. He was also the loving grandfather of Evan, Janel, and Owen Paradise, Nicholas, Nathaniel and Noah Ihley, Kayleigh and Mariah Fortuna, and Jarod and Cassandra Dussault.
