JEANETTE L. SPENCER – in Woburn, November 26th. Lifelong friend of Hazel Van Putten of Woburn. Dear cousin of Phyllis O’Doherty of Wethersfield, Connecticut, and Ruth L. Doherty of Woburn and her children: James Doherty and his wife Alice, Julie Carpenter and her husband Peter, Susan Winkle and her husband George, Peter Doherty and his wife Karen, Timothy Doherty, Philip Doherty and his wife Elaine, and Thomas Doherty and his wife Diane, all of Woburn. Also survived by several other cousins and many friends. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Thursday, November 29th at 8:15 a.m. Funeral mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, at 9. OBITUARY:

Jeanette L. Spencer, a lifelong Woburn resident, passed away Monday morning, November 26th, following a brief illness. She was eighty-five years of age.

Born and raised in Woburn, she was the daughter of the late Jeanette Spencer Ahern, and graduated from Woburn High School with the class of 1939. For many years Jeanette worked for the telephone company, rising to a supervisory position before her retirement.

In her leisure time she enjoyed being with family and friends.

Surviving are her cousins, Phyllis O’Doherty of Wethersfield, Connecticut, and Ruth L. Doherty of Woburn and her children: James Doherty and his wife Alice, Julie Carpenter and her husband Peter, Susan Winkle and her husband George, Peter Doherty and his wife Karen, Timothy Doherty, Philip Doherty and his wife Elaine, and Thomas Doherty and his wife Diane, all of Woburn. She was the lifelong friend of Hazel Van Putten of Woburn, and leaves several other cousins and many friends.

The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Thursday, November 29th at 8:15 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, at 9. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Donations may be made in Jeanette’s memory to St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, MA 01801.
