DORIS E. (OLSON) ADAMS – in Woburn,Friday, November 16th, beloved wife of the late John Adams and late Guy Francesshelli. Loving mother of Gail J. Nilsson and her husband Donald of Woburn and the late Stephen and Guy Francesshelli. Dear sister of the late Mildred Dinwiddie. Adored grandmother of Kristin Ahearn, Donald Nilsson, Stephen, Lori and Jay Francesshelli and eight great grandchildren. A Funeral will be held in the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Tuesday, November 20th at Noon. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4 to 8p.m. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Donations may be made in Dori’s memory to the Juvenille Diabetes Assoc. Development Office, Childrens Hospital, 300 Longwood Ave.,Boston,MA 02115.

OBITUARY:

Doris E. (Olson) Adams, a longtime resident of Woburn, passed away quietly on Friday, November 16th. The beloved wife of the late John Adams and the late Guy Francesshelli, she was ninety years of age. Born in Cambridge, Doris was the daughter of the late Alfred and Alfreida (Wettergreen) Olson. She was raised in Medford and was a graduate of Medford High School in 1935. Following high school, she attended the Chandler School for Women and was later employed at MIT as an executive secretary, where she worked for a number of years before retiring during the 70’s.

In 1940, Doris married Guy Francesshelli and they made their home in Lexington for a brief time before relocating to Woburn where they raised two sons and a daughter. She was very devoted to her family and was a superb cook, especially when it came to preparing Swedish cuisine, which was her proud heritage. Doris was also very adept at knitting and loved to shop.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Francesshelli who passed away in 1963 and her husband John Adams who passed away in 2001, her two sons, Stephen and Guy Francesshelli and her sister Mildred Dinwiddie.

She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Gail J. Nilsson and her husband Donald of Woburn and her grandchildren, Kristin Ahearn, Donald Nilsson, Stephen, Lori and Jay Francesshelli and eight great grandchildren. A Funeral will be held in the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Tuesday, November 20th at Noon.
