OBITUARY:

Patricia A. Clements-McIlwraith of Stoneham, a former longtime Woburn resident, passed away at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital early Wednesday, August 22nd. The wife of Hugh McIlwraith for the past fifteen years, she was sixty years of age.

Born and raised in Woburn, she was a graduate of Woburn High School. She raised her family in Woburn and worked for many years in the silk pressing business at the North Woburn Plaza. Along with her children she loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed visiting the White Mountains in New Hampshire. Patricia had a special affinity for animals and was a life member of the Humane Society.

Devoted to her grandchildren, she rarely missed a sporting event or activity in which they were involved. She spent many happy hours traveling with them to local fairs. She also enjoyed reading mysteries and visiting Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun.

Since her marriage in 1992 she had made her home in Stoneham. In 2004 her health began to decline, but she managed to get out every day and remain active.

Preceding her in death were a brother, Bart Clements and a sister, Jean Canario.

Along with her husband Hugh, she leaves a daughter, Tianne Clements-Mensinger and her husband Gary of New Hampshire, and stepchildren Debra Gheen, Penny Jones, and Laura McIlwraith, all of Ohio. She was also the dear sister of Stephen Clements of Wilmington, George Clements of Framingham, and Brian and Thomas Clements, both of Massachusetts, and loving grandmother of Mario, Jr., Chris, and Derek Sousa. Also surviving are four great-grandchildren and many step-grandchildren.
