THEODORE E. “TEDDY” POND, JR. – age 55, in Salem, NH, formerly of Woburn, May 13th. Beloved husband of Linda G. (Guarino) Pond. Loving son of Frances (Ditto) Price of Beverly and Theodore E. Pond, Sr. and his wife Claire of Salem, NH. Stepson of the late Robert Price. Beloved stepfather of Timothy J. Boudreau and his wife Melissa of Wilmington, and grandfather of Eva Boudreau. Dear brother of Marilyn Wally of Leaky, TX. Stepbrother of Carl Swideroski and his wife Donna of Salem, NH, Brian Swideroski of Lowell, Gail Swideroski of Tarpon Springs, FL, and Lisa Nystrom and her husband Carl of Pelham, NH. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Friday, May 18th at 9:15 a.m. Funeral mass in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main Street, Woburn, at 10. Calling hours Thursday 4 to 8 p.m. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Donations may be made in Ted’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.

OBITUARY:

Theodore E. “Teddy” Pond, Jr. of Salem, New Hampshire, a former Woburn resident, passed away at his home on Sunday, May 13th, following a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband of Linda G. (Guarino) Pond for the past twenty years.

Teddy was born in Boston, the son of Theodore E. Pond of Salem, NH, and Frances (Ditto) Price of Beverly. He grew up in Woburn and graduated from Woburn High School with the Class of 1969.

He worked as a truck driver for a paving company for about twelve years, and more recently worked at racetracks, including Suffolk Downs and more recently, Rockingham in New Hampshire. Teddy loved animals and throughout his life was always rescuing and feeeding them. He was an avid sports fan, and in earlier years enjoyed motorcycling.

He was a former member of the Irish American Club and the VFW.

Teddy was predeceased by his stepfather, Robert Price.

Surviving along with his wife Linda are his mother, Frances (Ditto) Price of Beverly, his father, Theodore E. Pond, Sr. and his wife Claire of Salem, NH, his stepson, Timothy J. Boudreau and his wife Melissa of Wilmington, and his granddaughter, Eva Boudreau. He was the dear brother of Marilyn Wally of Leaky, TX, and stepbrother of Carl Swideroski and his wife Donna of Salem, NH, Brian Swideroski of Lowell, Gail Swideroski of Tarpon Springs, FL, and Lisa Nystrom and her husband Carl of Pelham, NH.

The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Friday, May 18th at 9:15 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main Street, Woburn, at 10. Interment will follow in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.

Calling hours at the funeral home are on Thursday 4 to 8 p.m.

Donations may be made in Ted’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.

    I met Teddy at a young and impressionable age all I wanted was a Harley like his that dream came true for me, he even did a beautiful paint job on it for me. we had many great social times and treated me like a younger brother. He will forever be in my thoughts and prayers

    I was very sad to hear of Teddys passing today, even though I know that he is at peace now. I knew Teddy for over 30 years and have many memories of him, he was full of life and embraced it with everything he had. He will be missed by many, remembered by even more. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.
