THOMAS V. CALLINAN, JR. – of Woburn, April 17th. Beloved husband of Ruthann Callinan. Devoted father of Michelle L. Erickson of Woburn and loving grandfather of Sean m. Cioto, Jr., Jordan and Joshua Canada, and Haley Erickson. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Arrangements by the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, Woburn.

OBITUARY:

Attorney Thomas V. Callinan, Jr., 66, of Woburn passed away at Salem Hospital on Tuesday, April 17th, following an illness of several months.

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Thomas V. and Dorothy (Ames) Callinan, Sr. He attended St. Charles School, Keith Academy, and earned a bachelor’s as well as his law degree from St. Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire.

He maintained a private law practice for many years and, following his retirement, worked for Checker Cab Company.

A boating enthusiast, he was a member of the Lynn Yacht Club and enjoyed tuna fishing during the summers at Menemsha on Martha’s Vineyard. In recent years he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife Ruthann, his daughter, Michelle Erickson of Woburn, and four grandchildren: Sean M. Cioto, Jr., Jordan and Joshua Canada, and Haley Erickson.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are being handled by the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, Woburn.

    We were very sorry to hear that your husband/grandfather had passed. We know that he meant the world to you and that he was suffering. We pray that your pain will be eased also and that time will help to fill your hearts with the happy memories that are so much a part of all of you.

    We will always remember you sitting out on the wall listening to country music and washing the cars. And for letting the kids press the buttons to close the windows. You will be missed. May you rest in peace.
