Michael E. Holleran, of Woburn, formerly of PA, passed away on Thursday, April 5th after a lengthy illness. The beloved husband of Luann (Chiddix) Holleran, he was forty-nine years of age. Born in Charleston, SC, Michael was the son of John Holleran of PA and the late Ruby (Poff) Holleran. His family resided in Key West, FL until he was twelve years of age, when they relocated to Tioga, PA. He continued his education in PA and was a graduate of Tioga High School. In 1977, following high school, Michael enlisted in the United States Navy where he served his country for three years. While stationed in Florida, he met his wife,
Luann and he were married in 1981. Michael and his wife, who was originally from Woburn, decided to make their home here where they have been raising their two sons and daughter. While a resident of Woburn, Michael was gainfully employed in the waste management business until 1991 when his health deteriorated and he was no longer able to work.
Michael was a loving family man with a terrific sense of humor. He enjoyed fishing at Horn Pond and spending time with his sons.
Michael was predeceased by his mother, Ruby (Poff) Holleran.
He is survived by his wife, Luann (Chidd
ix) Holleran,his daughter Jamie Holleran of Woburn sons Michael Ludwig and Tyler J. Holleran, his brother, Dempsey Holleran of Newport, PA, and his granddaughter Jordan McDonough.
