JENNIE A.(DeDOMINICIS) MENDOUSA- in Woburn, Sunday, March 11th, beloved wife of the late Joseph C. Mendousa. Devoted mother of Joanne Drake and her husband Frank of Andover, Geraldine Evangelista and her husband Louis of Tewksbury and Joseph P. Mendousa and his wife Debbie of Bedford. Dear sister of Lucy Napoli of Somerville, Dot Ceurvels of Burlington and the late Antonio, Ercole and Henry DeDominicis. Loving grandmother of six grandchildren, Frank Drake Jr. and his wife Debbie, John Drake and his wife Kim, Susan McNeil and her husband Mark, Cheryl Neill and her husband Sean, James Evangelista and his wife Joanna and Joseph Evangelista and his wife Debbie and eighteen great grandchildren. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street Woburn, on Thursday, March 15th at 9:15 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Barbara’s Church 138 Cambridge Road, Woburn at 10. OBITUARY:

Jennie A. (DeDominicis) Mendousa passed away quietly on Sunday afternoon, March 11th with her family at her side. The beloved wife of the late Joseph C. Mendousa, she was ninety years of age.

Born in Italy, Jennie was the daughter of the late Dominic and Ascenza (Grassi) De Dominicis. She was brought to America at an early age and lived in Somerville, where she attended school and was a graduate of Somerville High School.

In 1938, she married her late husband Joseph, to whom she was married for over sixty years. They moved to Woburn in 1956, where they raised their three children.

Mrs. Mendousa was a very loving and caring mother and grandmother who was completely devoted to ther family. Her cooking skills were second to none, and her family spent many happy times around the dining room table enjoying her fabulous meals. For over ten years, Mrs. Mendousa shared her talents for cooking and worked at the St. Barbara’s Rectory preparing the daily meals and doing light housekeeping. Her talents also extended in to the areas or crocheting and painting. She loved to crochet afghans for her family and friends, and at the same time would take to her palate of oils and create beautiful landscape paintings.

Mrs. Mendousa was a daily communicant at St. Barbara’s and would be seen walking to and from the church.

Jennie was predeceased by her husband, Joseph C. Mendousa and her brothers, Antonio, Ercole and Henry DeDominicis.

She is survived by her children, Joanne Drake and her husband Frank of Andover, Geraldine Evangelista and her husband Louis of Tewksbury and Joseph P. Mendousa and his wife Debbie of Bedford, her twin sister, Lucy Napoli of Somerville and Dot Ceurvels of Burlington and six grandchildren, Frank Drake Jr. and his wife Debbie, John Drake and his wife Kim, Susan McNeil and her husband Mark, Cheryl Neill and her husband Sean, James Evangelista and his wife Joanna and Joseph Evangelista and his wife Debbie and eighteen great grandchildren.

A Funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street Woburn, on Thursday, March 15th at 9:15 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Barbara’s Church 138 Cambridge Road, Woburn at 10. Interment will be in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
